Hi Gary,
Thanks for your email.
We are currently in our winter season and meeting at Graves Swimming Pool on a Thursday Night 7:40 for 8:00 start.
http://www.gravestennisleisure.co.uk/
The website link above will give you details of how to get to Graves.
To start with the sessions cost £5.00 then if you want to become a member you can download the membership form from our website.
Within the club you have the opportunity to try out a number of Paddle disciplines including Open Canoeing, Whitewater/River Running & Freestyle kayaking.
If you come along this Thursday(25th) I’ll get one of our coaches Chris Tye to look out for you and introduce you to everyone. If you can’t make this Thursday then you are always welcome to drop in when convenient.
Regards

Hi Gary,
Look forward to meeting you on the 9th…
The 11th is OK but I’m not sure who’s leading the trip at the moment. Can sort that out on the 9th.
Keep in touch.
Simon
Hi Gary,
Just to let you know due to the poor weather conditions the river trip for Saturday 11th has been cancelled.
Hope to catch up with you soon.

Hi Laura,
Thanks for getting in touch.
You’ve probably picked the best time to get in touch because we are soon going to be starting our winter programme at Graves Leisure at Norton just on the outskirts of Sheffield.
You would be very welcome to come along and see if it’s for you.
Thursday 3rd Nov @ 2000 – 2100 our first pool session starts at Graves Leisure, Norton, Sheffield…
If you need more details drop me a line.

Hi there,
I did a lot of paddling 20+ years ago off the Dorset Coast round Studland Bay and also in Somerset (Taunton and Wellington) where I played canoe polo and gained my Proficiency award. Have lived in Chesterfield since 1996 and attend Zion Church. Now have a 9 year old who is keen to paddle and wonder if your club would cater for her. The winter evening sessions are a bit too late for her but can kids come to the summer club nights?
Hi Debs,
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
I’m sorry that your daughter won’t be able to make our winter sessions at the baths, this would have given us an opportunity to go through the basics with her in the warmth of the pool.
Our spring/summer sessions usually start around Late April early May and for the main we go down to Matlock which as you’ll know is moving water. Not knowing your daughters ability I don’t think this maybe the best location to start her paddling experience, so I would like to suggest two further opportunities.
We run taster sessions throughout the year down at Chesterfield Canal and or Poolsbrook. I see you have subscribed to our Facebook page and if you did the same for our website you will be kept up to date as to when these sessions are to be held. We can then get a much clearer picture of her abilities and when appropriate we ccan try her down at Matlock.
To end…we do run two pool sessions on Thursday…The first session is 8:00pm till 8:45pm, if your daughter were able to make this it would be great.
Again thank you for getting in contact with the club and look forward to meeting you soon.
Regards
Simon Cozens
